Day 01: BHUBANESWAR ARRIVAL – KONARK – PURI
Upon arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport, meet our representative and begin your journey towards the sacred city of Puri. En route, visit the historic Dhauli Shanti Stupa (Peace Pagoda), followed by the revered Lingaraj Temple and the unique Chausath (64) Yogini Temple, renowned for its circular architecture and historical significance. Continue your scenic drive along the picturesque Marine Drive to Konark, stopping at the tranquil Chandrabhaga Beach and the sacred Ramachandi Temple. Explore the magnificent Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its extraordinary stone carvings and architectural brilliance. In the evening, you may enjoy the captivating Light & Sound Show at Konark (tickets at your own expense). Later, proceed to Puri, check in to your hotel, and spend some relaxing time at the famous Puri Beach. Overnight stay in Puri.
Day 02: PURI – GRAND RATH YATRA EXPERIENCE
Today is dedicated to witnessing the world-famous Rath Yatra, one of the largest and most spectacular religious festivals in the world. Experience the divine spectacle as Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra are ceremoniously taken in beautifully decorated wooden chariots from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple along the sacred Grand Road. Join thousands of devotees in chanting hymns, witnessing traditional music and cultural celebrations, and, if fortunate, participate in the sacred act of touching or pulling the chariot ropes, believed to bring immense spiritual blessings. As vehicular movement is restricted during the festival, the entire experience is explored on foot, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of faith and devotion. Return to your hotel in Puri for an overnight stay. Highlight: The Rath Yatra is more than a festival—it's a once-in-a-lifetime spiritual experience where centuries-old traditions, unwavering devotion, and divine celebrations come together in an unforgettable display of faith.
Day 03: PURI – SATPADA (CHILIKA LAKE) – BHUBANESWAR
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Satpada on the banks of the magnificent Chilika Lake, Asia's largest brackish water lagoon. En route, visit the sacred Alarnath Temple, an important pilgrimage site associated with Lord Jagannath. Upon arrival at Chilika, enjoy an exciting boat ride (direct payment) to witness the rare Irrawaddy Dolphins in their natural habitat and visit the picturesque Sea Mouth (Hradaya Sagar Sangam), where the lake meets the Bay of Bengal. Later, continue to Bhubaneswar and visit the fascinating Kalabhoomi Craft Museum (closed on Mondays & Government Holidays), showcasing Odisha's rich artistic heritage, followed by the historic Khandagiri & Udayagiri Jain Rock-Cut Caves. Check in to your hotel for an overnight stay in Bhubaneswar.
Day 04: BHUBANESWAR SIGHTSEEING – DEPARTURE
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and explore the cultural treasures of Bhubaneswar. Visit the beautifully sculpted Rajarani Temple, the elegant Mukteshwar Temple, and the ancient Parshurameshwar Temple, each reflecting the city's remarkable temple architecture. If time permits, visit the renowned Nandankanan Zoological Park, famous for its White Tigers, Lion Safari, and diverse wildlife (closed on Mondays), followed by the Tribal Museum (closed on Mondays), which showcases the rich traditions of Odisha's indigenous communities. Before your departure, enjoy some shopping at Ekamra Haat, where you can purchase authentic handicrafts, handlooms, and traditional souvenirs. Finally, proceed to Bhubaneswar Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of Odisha's spiritual heritage, vibrant culture, and the magnificent Rath Yatra celebration.
