Day 01: GUWAHATI ARRIVAL – KAMAKHYA TEMPLE
Welcome to Assam! the gateway to Northeast India. Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. After freshening up, proceed to visit the revered Kamakhya Temple, one of the most sacred Shakti Peethas in India, situated atop the Nilachal Hills and offering panoramic views of the city and the mighty Brahmaputra River. Experience the spiritual atmosphere and rich cultural heritage of this ancient temple. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing Brahmaputra River Cruise (ticket cost not included), where you can witness a mesmerizing sunset over the river while admiring the scenic beauty of Guwahati. Return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay. (Sightseeing as per time compulsion)
Day 02: GUWAHATI SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, embark on a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Guwahati, a city that beautifully blends spirituality, culture, and natural beauty. Visit the magnificent Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji Temple, known for its impressive South Indian architecture, followed by the historic Sukreswar Temple and the sacred Navagraha Temple, dedicated to the nine celestial bodies. Later, take a ferry ride to Umananda Temple, located on Peacock Island, the smallest inhabited river island in the world. Continue your tour with a visit to the Assam State Museum, showcasing the rich history and heritage of Assam, and Dighalipukhuri, a picturesque man-made lake in the heart of the city. Explore the Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, home to diverse wildlife and exotic plant species, and visit the Regional Science Centre and Planetarium for an engaging educational experience. Conclude the day by exploring the Assam State Emporiums, where you can shop for traditional Assamese silk, handicrafts, and souvenirs. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 03: GUWAHATI – DEPARTURE
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and enjoy some leisure time depending on your flight schedule. Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey. Depart with wonderful memories of Assam's spiritual landmarks, cultural treasures, scenic river views, and warm hospitality.
