Australia tour packages from Hyderabad start at AUD 819 (about ₹55,700) per person on twin sharing for a 4-day Melbourne package, and go up to AUD 2,619 (about ₹1.78 lakh) for a 10-day Melbourne–Cairns–Sydney trip. These are land packages: deluxe hotels, daily breakfast, private airport transfers and guided sightseeing. International airfare and visa are extra. There is no nonstop flight from Hyderabad to Australia, so plan for roughly 13–17 hours with one stop. Indian passport holders need a Visitor visa (subclass 600), which costs AUD 250 when applied for from outside Australia.
Australia is one of the most requested long-haul holidays from Hyderabad, but most online pages show vague “starting from” prices and never explain what a package actually contains. This guide is different. We opened our own ground-operator rate cards for six Australia packages and turned them into a number-first guide: what each itinerary covers, what it costs per person and per family, how rates change for singles and children, which hotels you will stay in, and what the visa and flights add on top.
Every AUD figure below comes from our current rate cards (deluxe category, 2–5 passengers, per person). Rupee figures use an indicative ₹68 per AUD, close to the mid-market rate in late August 2026, so treat them as estimates. We confirm the exact rupee amount on the day you book.

| Marvellous Melbourne | 4 days / 3 nights | Melbourne | 819 | ₹55,700 |
| Splendid Sydney | 4 days / 3 nights | Sydney | 869 | ₹59,100 |
| Charming Cairns | 4 days / 3 nights | Cairns | 949 | ₹64,500 |
| Gold Coast | 4 days / 3 nights | Gold Coast | 949 | ₹64,500 |

| Amazing Australia | 10 days / 9 nights | Melbourne + Cairns + Sydney | 2,619 | ₹1.78 lakh |
All six are deluxe-category packages with breakfast, private airport–hotel–airport transfers and shared (SIC) sightseeing. Flights between cities are not included.
Which Australia package should you choose?
- First trip, 7 days available: Spirit of Australia. It pairs Melbourne’s food, sport and the Great Ocean Road with Sydney’s Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Blue Mountains.
- First trip, 10 days available: Amazing Australia. It is the only package that adds the Great Barrier Reef and Kuranda rainforest, so you see city, coast, reef and rainforest in one trip.
- Families with young children: Gold Coast. Sea World and Warner Bros. Movie World fill two full days, and the child (no bed) rate is AUD 599.
- Honeymooners and nature lovers: Charming Cairns, or Amazing Australia if you want cities too.
- Short on leave: Any 4-day package works as a stand-alone city break.
- Budget-first: Marvellous Melbourne is the lowest-priced package in our range at AUD 819.
What our rate cards reveal: pricing insights
Most Australia package articles repeat brochure prices. Because we work from the rate cards themselves, we can show how the numbers behave.
1. Cost per night is consistent. Dividing each twin-share price by its nights gives about AUD 273 per night in Melbourne, AUD 290 in Sydney, AUD 316 in Cairns and on the Gold Coast, AUD 280 for the 7-day trip and AUD 291 for the 10-day trip. Each night includes hotel, breakfast, transfers and sightseeing. In rupees, that is about ₹18,600 to ₹21,500 per person per night, all-in on land.
2. Combining cities is a small saving, not a big one. Melbourne (AUD 819) plus Sydney (AUD 869) bought separately is AUD 1,688. The combined 7-day package is AUD 1,679, which is AUD 9 less. Melbourne + Cairns + Sydney separately is AUD 2,637, against AUD 2,619 for the 10-day package, a saving of AUD 18. The real benefit is one booking, one set of vouchers and no duplicated transfer planning.
3. Travelling solo costs 40–48% more. Single-room rates are AUD 1,169 (Melbourne), AUD 1,289 (Sydney), AUD 1,329 (Cairns), AUD 1,349 (Gold Coast), AUD 2,439 (7 days) and AUD 3,719 (10 days). That is a supplement of AUD 350 to AUD 1,100 over twin share.
4. Children without a bed pay about 54–63% of the adult twin rate. The child (no bed) price is AUD 469 for Melbourne and Sydney, AUD 599 for Cairns and the Gold Coast, AUD 899 for the 7-day package and AUD 1,499 for the 10-day package.
5. Sharing three or four to a room saves a little. Triple rates are AUD 20 to AUD 50 lower per person than twin share, and quad rates are AUD 30 to AUD 90 lower. On the 10-day package, quad is AUD 2,529 per person against AUD 2,619 on twin share.
6. Extra nights are priced clearly. An additional night with breakfast on twin share is AUD 129 per person in Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast, and AUD 139 in Cairns. On the Gold Coast a weekend supplement of AUD 25 per person per night applies from Friday to Sunday.
7. Tipping is small and predictable. The recommended tip for drivers and guides is AUD 3 per person per day, about AUD 30 over 10 days, or roughly ₹2,000.
8. Arrival time matters. Many flights from India land in the early hours. Transfers for arrivals or departures between 11 pm and 6 am carry a supplement of AUD 35 per person per transfer, and hotel check-in is at 3 pm (check-out 11 am), with early check-in not guaranteed. If your flight lands at dawn, an extra night is often the smoother choice.

What is included and what is not
Included in every package: deluxe hotel accommodation, daily breakfast, private airport–hotel–airport transfers, and the shared (SIC) sightseeing listed in the itinerary.
Not included: international and domestic airfare, airport meet and greet, tips to guides and drivers, porterage, laundry and incidental charges, destination or resort fees payable at the hotel, and anything not listed in the itinerary.
Two details that surprise first-time travellers:

How much does an Australia trip from Hyderabad really cost?
The package price is only part of the budget. Here is a worked example for one person on twin share, 10 days, at ₹68 per AUD:
| Item | AUD | Approx. ₹ |
|---|---|---|
| Amazing Australia land package | 2,619 | ₹1,78,100 |
| Visitor visa (subclass 600, applied offshore) | 250 | ₹17,000 |
| Recommended tips (AUD 3 × 10 days) | 30 | ₹2,000 |
| Subtotal before flights | 2,899 | about ₹1.97 lakh |
On top of this, budget for international return flights from Hyderabad, domestic flights (Melbourne to Cairns and Cairns to Sydney on the 10-day plan), travel insurance, lunches and dinners (only breakfast is included), and personal spending.
Examples (land package only):
- Couple, 7 days: 2 × AUD 1,679 = AUD 3,358, about ₹2.28 lakh.
- Couple, 10 days: 2 × AUD 2,619 = AUD 5,238, about ₹3.56 lakh.
- Family of four, 7 days (2 adults + 2 children without bed): 2 × AUD 1,679 + 2 × AUD 899 = AUD 5,156, about ₹3.51 lakh.
Getting from Hyderabad to Australia
There is no nonstop flight between Hyderabad and Australia. Most itineraries connect once, commonly through Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok or Colombo, and total journey time is typically around 13.5 to 17 hours depending on the routing and layover. Fares vary widely with season and airline, so booking early and staying flexible on dates makes a real difference. We quote current fares when you enquire.
A useful tip: Melbourne and Sydney currently follow daylight-saving time and run about 5 hours 30 minutes ahead of India. Queensland (Cairns and the Gold Coast) does not use daylight saving and is about 4 hours 30 minutes ahead. Daylight saving ends in April, so check the difference for your travel dates.
Australia visa for Indian citizens (2026–27)
Indian passport holders cannot use the quick ETA or eVisitor routes. Tourists apply for the Visitor visa (subclass 600), Tourist stream online through ImmiAccount.
- Fee: AUD 250 for applications made from outside Australia, in effect since 1 July 2026 (it was AUD 200 before). Biometrics, medicals or translations, if requested, are extra.
- Processing: Home Affairs figures reported in late September 2026 show about 75% of Tourist stream applications finalised within roughly 26 days and 90% within about 33 days. Individual cases vary, so apply at least 6 to 8 weeks before departure.
- What officers look for: a genuine temporary visit, enough funds for the trip, and ties that show you will return to India. Typical supporting documents are a valid passport, recent bank statements, income-tax returns or employment proof, leave approval, and your itinerary and hotel bookings.
- Do not buy non-refundable flights first. Wait until the visa is granted, or choose a flexible fare.
Leisure Trips provides visa documentation assistance and a confirmed itinerary to attach to your application. The grant itself is always the decision of the Australian Department of Home Affairs, and no agent can guarantee it.
Best time to visit Australia
Seasons are reversed from India.
- September to November (spring) and March to May (autumn): Mild weather in Melbourne and Sydney, ideal for Great Ocean Road and Blue Mountains days.
- December to February (summer): Peak season, hot in the south and busy during school holidays. Tropical Cairns is in its wet season, so expect humidity and rain.
- June to October: The drier months in Cairns and a popular window for reef trips. Southern cities are cooler, so carry layers.
Some attractions are seasonal and not every tour runs year-round, so confirm your dates with us before you pay. Surcharges can apply during major events and trade fairs.

Want to add New Zealand?
Many guests extend an Australia trip with New Zealand. Our South Island itinerary, Scenic South Island (6 days / 5 nights, from NZD 2,139 per person on twin share), covers Christchurch (tram tour and International Antarctic Centre), a scenic drive via Lake Tekapo and Aoraki/Mount Cook to Queenstown, a Milford Sound cruise and the Skyline Gondola. Prices are in New Zealand dollars. See our New Zealand packages.
Practical tips before you go
1. Check your flight arrival time first. Early-morning landings trigger the late-night transfer supplement and a long wait for 3 pm check-in.
2. Match cities to the season. Reef trips in Cairns are best outside the wet season.
3. Carry a credit card. Hotels ask for one at check-in for incidentals.
4. Plan around rooms without kettles or fridges if you need tea, coffee, baby food or medicines kept cool.
5. Keep tips in cash. AUD 3 per person per day for drivers and guides.
6. Add one night if travelling with kids or elders. An extra night costs AUD 129 to AUD 139 per person.
7. Buy travel insurance. It is not part of the package.
8. Ask about optional tours. The Phillip Island penguin parade (AUD 169) and the Hunter Valley winery tour (AUD 179) are popular add-ons.
